Part of wrap style residential construction in Long Beach, Urban Village Parking structure is a 5 story type I enclosed parking garage providing over 175 parking stalls for the apartment’s residents.

With a short span, elevated cast-in-place 8” post tensioned flat slab deck, the structure is supported with 14”x24” columns. Its seismic and wind loads area resisted with 12” & 14” specially reinforced concrete walls.

Interstate Battery of Eastern

• 7,000 square feet of warehouse with 5,000 square feet of storage space and 2,000 square feet of office space.
• CMU structural walls are built with a higher capacity timber roof diaphragm for minimal construction cost.
• Achieved large open space with minimal support by using commercial grade RedBuilt roof joists.
• Building is constructed directly adjacent to existing warehouse with a direct doorway between the two buildings made possible by attaching a tube steel A-frame at the existing warehouse’s CMU wall.

West Covina Industrial Park

 This tilt-up complex is comprised of five 1-story and one 2-story buildings with a total building area of over 137,000 square feet.  The buildings are as long as 400’ and have clear spans of 49’.  PBA designed the panelized roof system as a hybrid steel and wood system to utilize the efficiency of steel bar joists together with Southern California’s preference for wood framing.  The one story buildings have a clear height of over 20’ and they include mezzanines for small office spaces.

Young Homes Office Building

The Young Homes Office Building is a two story building with open floor plans to accommodate future tenant improvements. The building is framed primarily with wood studs and includes two story steel frames for lateral support at some locations. Additional features include roof trusses @ 48” o.c., floor trusses @ 24” o.c., and a concrete topping on the floor. At the exterior, one steel trellis has a 30’ span and another steel trellis has a 6’ cantilever from the face of the building.
